Why Is Jetboil Synonymous With Backpacking Stoves
Jetboil It may be out of fashion to ask someone to "pack my box with five dozens of liquor jugs" but it is never so when it comes to packing a jetboil. The handiest camp cooking gear of all camping equipments, the camping stoves are your inseparable companions till you returned, no matter where you had set forth on the trek. The Lightweight Stoves You can raise a camp fire for roasting a wild boar but when pretty hungry in a windy cold condition and a full meal is what you need to cook in a jiffy, go for these lighter camping stoves. Not that there aren't many makes available around but buying one that truly catches your imagination is all about it. There is ?Trangia' and then there is ?Hexi stove', both of which are at best the heavier cousins of jetboil; lock, stock and barrel put together. After all, why is jetboil synonymous with backpacking stoves? First, the awesome size cup (20CM x 10CM) to boil 1 liter fits snug onto the wind protective burner shroud. The shroud is so designed that you can't burn your fingers effortlessly. The gas canister attaches easily into the burner. But what caught my attention is the quick lighting piezo igniter which is a dream of sorts in pretty damn conditions. But is the small gas canister enough to cook 3-4 meals? Of course it is. Let's see how. It ignites fast without wasting any gas; next, the flame is protected from disturbing wind, then, the cup is sleeved with neoprene rubber which insulates the cup real good and finally, don't forget the snap-on lid on top which let's you pour or drink from the attached spout, this means no exposure till you don't need it. But the rarely discovered reason lay at cup's bottom. There is a heat sink which holds 80% of heat from the flame unlike in the normal stoves which let it scatter. Well, how long did it take to boil 2 cups? Hold your breath... a flat 90 seconds. Would I recommend Jetboil? You sure know the answer!
